6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker has questioned if WA Police Commissioner is on the right track by continuing to pursue disciplinary action against approximately 50 officers who declined to receive the COVID-19 vaccines.

Police officer Ben Falconer had his cases against the Chief Health Officer and former Police Commissioner Chris Dawson dismissed in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

“This is where I think it gets interesting… given the controversy around this particular direction and that we are talking about a course of medical action,” Parker said.

“I just wonder whether the view of disciplining police might collapse if officers go unpunished for not following a lawful direction … that it means all of a sudden police officers will start refusing to run into burning buildings, to go to country postings and other directions the police commissioner will make from time to time in order to get the police to do their job.”
