GAME DAY: Freo’s fall from grace

Article image for GAME DAY: Freo’s fall from grace

The Fremantle Dockers have suffered yet another cruel blow at the start of the season recording their sixth loss this year, going down by 33-points against the Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

Fremantle only kicked one goal per quarter for the first three terms saving their best until last with five goals in the final quarter, but it was too little, too late with the Crows taking out the win 14.13 (97) to 8.16 (64).

Michael Walters kicked three goals but all in the last quarter, while Matthew Pavlich played well but was inaccurate in front of goals kicking one major four behinds along with 15 disposals and six marks.

Rory Sloan was handy for the Crows with his 31 disposals and Eddie Betts broke the game open with his four goals.
