The Fremantle Dockers remain winless for the 2020 season going down in a tight tussle with the Gold Coast Suns.

It was a battle of the 2019 draft picks with Fremantle’s Caleb Serong debuting… while Sun’s Matthew Rowell racked up another solid performance kicking 2 goals .

Despite the scores being tied at three quarter time, Gold Coast packed on the points quickly in the final term. Fremantle struggling to keep up with the Suns without their Captain Nathan Fyfe. The Brownlow Medalist relegated to the bench after injuring his hamstring.

The final score…. Gold Coast Suns by 13 points.

Fremantle defender Griffin Logue post match interview.

“We saw Caleb Serong for the first time which looked like a tough battle for him. He went head to head with some of their best mids and was really strong in the contest, throwing his weight around and the future is bright for us.”

Fremantle Assistant Coach Michael Prior pre game.

“In those little sessions of 8 and 9 we really focused on our tackle pressure just in and around the ball.”

“We have really put it on our midfield to get the job done on Matthew Rowell… and really they have to defend Walters and Fyfe as well.”
