The climbing cost of health insurance hasn’t been missed by the body representing the industry, who is arguing they are attempting to keep premiums as low as possible.

Private Healthcare Australia CEO Rachel David told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the multiplicity of the cost of living crisis is making matters complicated.

“There’s been inflation in the general community, but it is affecting hospitals disproportionately, Particularly the cost of recruitment, power, and food,” Dr David said.
