Furore as Perth named hosts of Super Netball grand final

A bizarre move by WA Government to purchase the Super Netball grand final for Perth has left players devastated and calling for change
The grand final will be played at RAC Arena on Sunday, July 3, with a new fixed location chosen and released with the fixture before the season each year.
The decision to not award hosting rights to the winner of the major semifinal has caused uproar just two weeks before the regular season ends.
6PR sports broadcaster Paddy Sweeney reckons the decision is “one of the stupidest things he’s heard”, but 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker didn’t agree.
“It’s tone deaf, it’s dumb and at the expense of the taxpayer,” Paddy said.
“So we’re paying – the talk yesterday was up to 3/4 of a million dollars to get the netball grand final to WA – now Gareth, tell me how many tourists that will get to WA?”
