The Morrison Government has questioned Mark McGowan’s decision to delay WA’s reopening.

The WA Premier announced the hard border will remain on February 5, with a new date yet to be determined.

Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast many West Australians will be feeling disappointed today.

“Other states have made adjustments in accordance with the changing circumstances, so I think that is certainly in the best interests in the economy, that some of these border barriers come down, and we live as one single nation,” he said.

“I think the notion you can eliminate or live in a zero COVID world is a fallacy.”
