If you needed any more proof that the world is a bit haywire, the Australian Science Media Centre have put together a list of the strangest science stories, just to remind us.

From animals turning the tables back on humans to the biggest things found inside people’s brains, there’s no shortage of jaw-dropping events.

ASMC’s Joe Milton told Millsy and Lachy onĀ 6PR Breakfast it’s been a bumper year for weird science.

“We’ve seen some quite odd and funny studies out there,” Doctor Milton said.
