The announcement of a Friday night Western Derby has sparked debate, with 6PR Breakfast host Millsy voicing concerns over the challenges it creates for regional fans attending the match.

However, Fremantle legend Paul Hasleby defended the timeslot when speaking to Millsy and Karl.

“To be on the big stage, all your corporates, your sponsors, Thursday, Friday night, more eyeballs on those nights. As a player as well, you want to play on those big time slots”, Hasleby said.

Millsy remained unconvinced, accusing Hasleby and Langdon of bias.

“You blokes are just singing from the AFL hymn book, I’m an independent. I can actually say it how it really is. And it sucks”, Millsy said.
