Fremantle unveils Premiership vision in ambitious plan

Fremantle have unveiled a strategic five year plan in which they will aim to win both an AFL and AFLW Premiership.
They will also aim to have 80,000 members and average crowd numbers of 50,000 at men’s game and 6000 and women’s games.
Financially, the Dockers want $5 million in reserve and will aim to rank in the top three for AFL sponsorship and revenue.
Fremantle CEO Simon Garlick says while it’s a bold plan it’s one they can deliver.
“There’s always risk when you publicise these sort of aims and aspirations, but that’s kind of the point,” he said on 6PR Breakfast.
“We, the club, want to put ourselves out there, and we understand that there’s pressure that comes with that, but we’d much rather that approach rather than keeping the club’s strategy and plan internal and safely from public view.
“We’re not concerned with potential critics … we believe there’s a really strong foundation for us to build from, and lead into an era of competitiveness, contention and ultimately success.”
