The long-awaited plans for the old Great Escape site at Hillarys Boat Harbour are moving forward.

Speaking to 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont, Colleen Thompson, Director, Maritime Planning, confirmed the government’s $14 million commitment for an activation upgrade, which includes a youth and family plaza.

The purpose, she said, is: ‘Really just giving a really great free opportunity for families and young people in the harbour to have a place to enjoy themselves,’ she said.
