There has been a surge in complaints about criminals posing as locksmiths, costing customers millions of dollars every year.

Martin Coote, President of the Master Locksmiths Association, explained to 6PR Afternoons host Julie-Anne Sprague how the scams unfold.

‘In some cases, they use stand-over tactics to extract the money. Customers are fearful and just pay up,’ he said.”
