Milk alternatives have dramatically risen in popularity over the last few years with more and more households making the switch to non-dairy milk products.

But are they as green as they say?

Consumer behaviour researcher UNSW Professor Nikita Garg told 6PR Mornings milk alternatives could end up replacing cow’s milk.

“The growing demand makes it competitive with cow’s milk,” said Professor Garg.
