An emergency meeting has been called to determine whether a former Perth bikie with a criminal background will be approved to compete in the bare-knuckle fighting championships.

Matthew Floyd told 6PR Breakfast hosts Millsy and Karl that other countries and Australian states are aware of his history and are happy for him to compete.

“I’ve had no disciplinary action during any of my fights, I’ve been a respectful contestant obviously because they keep having me back in other countries and other states have asked me,” he said.
