Former Australian Federal Police  Commissioner and Northern Territory Police Chief, Mick Palmer, revealed to 3AW presenter and podcaster Neil Mitchell that he believes cannabis legalisation is inevitable, advocating for its free and legal availability within the next five years.

WA Legalise Cannabis MP Dr Brian Walker told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live, “I think he’s [Mick Palmer] being a bit ambitious, however I do think five years is a possibility.”

“The war against drugs, has always failed and it will continue to fail, that won’t change.”

“We need to treat cannabis like every other prescribed drug, it’s as simple as that,” Dr Walker continued.
