The Western Force say they will remain in the Super Rugby competition despite reports saying they will be dropped under a new structure. 

The Chairman of the Western Force, Tony Howarth, told Karl Langdon and Paul Hasleby they believe Perth needs a Rugby Union club, even if a team is forced out of the competition. 

‘I struggle a little bit to see how a good strategy for the game is to shrink it, but nevertheless that’s what the ARU has to look at.’
