19-year-old Jordan Anthony has been making waves in Australia’s music scene since his appearance on The Voice in 2019. Now, he’s secured his golden ticket to Hollywood on American Idol.

Mister Anthony told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons, “School wasn’t a fun place for me, I got bullied quite a lot. When I was about 7-years-old I wrote my first song about getting bullied.”

“That [song] was the start of me realising this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I fell in love with that feeling of taking my emotions, drawing upon experiences, and putting that into something I could use to be there for myself and express those emotions I couldn’t really speak about.”

“If you’re passionate about something, pursue it. Something I’m still learning to do is to not care about what other people think. Have belief in yourself and know what you’re doing, you’re probably doing it for a reason,” Mister Anthony continued.
