In a WA first, charges for a terrorist act have been laid on an individual following the alleged attempted Invasion Day bombing in Perth’s CBD.

Premier Roger Cook credited the community’s vigilance for the quick arrest, reiterating the immense devastation the bomb could have caused.

He told 6PR Mornings host Simon Beaumont, “If the device had gone off it certainly would have led to serious injury and potentially death.”
