Always explores of the scientific world, Mick and Millsy have been perplexed by the latest viral question: why won’t Flakes melt?

A regular in Cadbury Favourites boxes, the Flake is a bit of a black sheep, and not just in culinary standards.

As Dr Karl Kruszelnicki told the Boys on 6PR Breakfast, there’s a fair amount of complicated science behind the mystery.

“I’ve been a big fan of chocolate for a long time; there’s a fair bit going on here,” Dr Karl said.
