The National Housing Supply and Affordability Council has delivered its first report to the Federal Government after being tasked with looking into the housing market to provide expert advice.

The report shows Australia will miss its housing targets for 2029 on its current trajectory with severe undersupply.

Group Executive Policy and Advocacy at Property Council of Australia Matt Kandelaars told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR Afternoons for a long time, governments collectively have played around the edges but now is the time to put in the hard work.

“The report is sobering reading…We simply are not creating or delivering the homes that we need for our population,” Mr Kandelaars.
