The bushland at Wembley Golf Course caught on fire early on Thursday morning, 6PR was first alerted to the fire just before 5:30am when Nick called in to tell us about the blaze.

6PR reporter Simon Etheride visited the site and said a number of trees have been burnt out and spot fires were continuing, but it is contained.
