Saudi Arabia tourism authority is set to be one of the major sponsors of the Women’s FIFA World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, despite the country’s shocking record regarding women’s rights.

Football Australia says they’ve written to FIFA seeking clarity around the decision.

Football commentator Craig Foster told Gary Adshead he is not surprised by the move.

“It is clear during the Qatar FIFA World Cup, that whilst FIFA has a human rights policy, Gianni Infantino wants to completely disregard it and that he doesn’t want to understand it,” Mr Foster said on 6PR Mornings.
