National Seniors Australia is urging the Federal Treasurer to get his “skates on” in regards to legislating the cash mandate due January 1 2026.

CEO of National Seniors Australia Chris Grice says it’s not clear what the hold-up is, as he notes there’s been movement regarding the “second part” of the mandate.

“We were pleased to hear last Thursday the second part of this … Deloitte have brokered a deal with Armaguard … it’s all good to have it mandated, but if we haven’t got someone to actually deliver the cash, well that’s very problematic,” he told Oliver Peterson on 6PR Perth Live.
