For the first time in history, Anthony Albanese and his entire ministerial cabinet will meet in WA’s Pilbara on Tuesday.

Ministers will meet in the shipping control tower in Port Hedland, and are expected to also meet with 150 community members afterwards and hold one-on-one talks with local indigenous leaders.

Mayor of Port Hedland Peter Carter says there’s a number of local issues they hope will be addressed.

“Things like affordable housing, childcare health, youth – it’s there, we do deal with the problem – but we are working on it to help our town and community,” Mr Carter told Millsy and Karl.

“It’s the whole region, not just Port Hedland, it’s the whole of WA’s Pilbara and certain towns have it worse than others – it comes in waves.”
