A search will continue for a missing 8-year-old boy in WA’s south-west this morning.

The boy disappeared from his campsite at Fernhook Falls near Walpole on Sunday morning.

Police, SES volunteers and the police air-wing began searching on Sunday in the Mount Frankland National Park.

There’s concerns he may have fallen into one of the waterways in the area.

Manjimup Shire President Paul Omodei told Gareth Parker locals are assisting in the search.

“It is pretty rough terrain, fairly dense bush, it has been cold in the last few weeks, and there’s rain coming today,” he said.

“So we just hope and pray that the young fella is found as soon as possible.”
