Cricket legend Dean Jones has laid down a challenge to James Faulkner.

Faulkner was once Australia’s premier one-day all-rounder, winning Man of the Match in the 2015 World Cup Final.

But his career has stagnated in recent years, and he missed selection for the current ODI series with England.

Faulkner made just five runs in Saturday’s Big Bash clash with Sydney Thunder, before being bowled by spinner Chris Green.

Jones said Faulkner needs to do some serious introspection.

“He’s at a stage in his career, Faulkner, that he needs to re-evaluate his life,” Deano said.

“He’s got to learn how to bowl the swing ball, and he’s got to learn how to hit the power ball again.”
