Father of toddler killed by speeding teen motorist wants P-plate overhaul

Three-year-old Gareth Tetteh died when he was hit by a car going 80kmh above the speed limit.

His teenage killer Devlin Bartholomew was yesterday jailed for six years for three charges, including manslaughter. The maximum sentence is life.
Gareth’s father Bosco told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the maths doesn’t add up and the situation “was not fair”.
“This is how we have seen the justice system completely broken… 20 [years] plus 10 [years] plus life imprisonment does not equal six years and eight months,” he told Bartlett.
