A WA family who were embarking on their first holiday in three years have had their flight to Bali cancelled at the last minute.

It comes as chaos grips airports across the country with a number of airlines operating with serious staffing shortages.

The Summers were just hours from take-off when they were notified by JetStar that their flight had been cancelled, with the family unable to make the trip at another time.

“You can’t just rebook it, we run a small business so we work with clients around this trip,” Lucy Summers told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings.

“Its not things we can just move around, so yeah, we’ve had to can it.”
