She’s known as everyone’s favourite interior designer, but Shaynna Blaze’s new role as executive producer of a powerful new movie sees her explore a completely different side of life.

The Fort explores the trials of a woman trying to escape an abusive marriage while attempting to shelter her son from the grim realities of family violence.

Ms Blaze told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings she had been contacted by people who thanked her for tackling such a personal subject.

“I think the thing is there’s a lot of coercive control, and there are people going, ‘I didn’t realise I was in this situation,'” Ms Blaze said.
