Experts warn of WA gas price threat

Two former Australian premiers – Carmen Lawrence and Peter Dowding – have warned there could be gas shortages and price hikes for WA consumers if Woodside’s proposed North West Shelf expansion is approved.

The Australia Institute senior researcher Mark Ogge spoke to 6PR’s Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said if Woodside got its hands on WA’s domestic gas and started the expansion project, gas prices would go up for households and businesses.
