Experts urge for renewables to secure WA’s energy future

The CSIRO has created a “future roadmap” focused on the renewable energy sources WA needs to develop to maintain sustainable power supply for the next 30 years.
CSIRO Futures Associate Director Vivek Srinivasan told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the state would require between 12 to 17 gigawatts of extra storage to keep up with demand.
“There’s lots of technologies out there, but we will need to develop them locally,” Mr Srinivasan said.
