Granny Flats WA has been the target of a sophisticated scam with the owner’s personal name and business name used as ‘bait’ to scam consumers into handing over their money.

Granny Flats WA managing director and owner Mike Nicholls spoke to 6PR’s Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said a number of people had been contacted over the phone by someone pretending to be him and from his business. 

“I just need people to know if they are paying money to someone they have not met – even if the receipts are from a reputable company – do your due diligence of where you’re putting money,” Mr Nicholls said.
