6PR’s Oliver Peterson has revealed that the current Perth NRL proposal requires a $120 million contribution from the WA Government.

The ARL Commission wants WA taxpayers to fund the Perth Bears NRL team; however, no agreement has yet been reached between the WA Government and the ARL Commission.

“That should not be the role of the Western Australian Government—to fund and bankroll a commercial rugby league franchise,” said Oli.
