The man who killed 21-year-old Jack McCormack, who at the time was helping a stranger change a flat tyre on the side of a busy Perth freeway, will be released on parole next week.

Natalie McCormack told 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead knowing the man – Seng Lee Tan – who killed her son would soon be released on parole after serving just two years of a four year sentence was “really disappointing”.

“(Knowing) that he’s going to be back into society it’s obviously very hard for us and it’s still very, very raw,” Ms McCormack said.
