In a huge coup, Rugby league immortal Mal Meninga is set to be unveiled as the inaugural coach of the Perth Bears.

6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson revealed the current coach of the Australian Kangaroos is expected to link up with New South Wales Blues assistant coach Matt King.

“Mal Meninga could walk down Hay Street Mall or walk into Ellenbrook Shopping centre and everybody knows that he is one of Australia’s greatest sportsmen,” Oly said.

Oly spoke with former Western Reds and New South Wales enforcer Mark Geyer about the Perth Bears and State of Origin which heads to Perth on June 18.
