EXCLUSIVE: Elected councillor shares address with person suspected of voter fraud according to Shire President

Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire President Michelle Rich says an elected councillor shares an address on the electoral role with a person charged with stealing local election ballot papers.
It comes as the Serpentine Jarrahdale council voted unanimously to make an invalidity complaint to the court of disputed returns pertaining to the 2021 ordinary local government election, after two people were caught with around 50 council election ballot papers with them.
They have been charged with the allegation being that they may have stolen them.
“My understanding is that one of the elected councillors and one of the people who were charged share an address on the electoral role,” Ms Rich said on 6PR Breakfast.
