EXCLUSIVE: Aussie war crimes whistleblower rejects ‘traitor’ slur

Afghan war crimes files whistleblower Major David McBride is in Perth for a screening of his film David McBride: Declassified.
McBride was a major in the Australian army, and is currently facing 50 years in prison for blowing the whistle on SAS war crimes in Afghanistan.
He told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the theory of some that he is a traitor was “disgraceful”.
“I have stood up for the principles of the original Anzacs, of looking after the country,” he said.
