Dockers star Luke Ryan says his Fremantle teammates will take a lot from their first finals experience since 2015 as the club finalises its exit interviews with players this week before they go on holiday.

In his final interview with Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast for 2022, Ryan admitted it was tough knowing key players were likely to be lost during the upcoming trade period.

“I guess it just depends on how much you want to be at the club,” he said.

“Trade period is what makes footy good, it’s a part of footy, obviously the good players are wanted everywhere and good players are hard to keep.

“It’s going to be a bit flat if we lose some of those players.”

Ryan also revealed he didn’t get an invite to the Brownlow Medal on Sunday, and that he would firmly be barracking for Collingwood to win the 2022 flag now Fremantle was out of the premiership race.
