Electric vehicle sales have continued to climb in Australia over the past year, despite ongoing cost of living pressure.

The Australian Automobile Association’s EV Index quarterly update shows more than 85 000 battery electric and plug-in hybrid sold in the first three quarters of this year, up 17.7 per cent from the same period last year.

Head of Legal, Policy and Advocacy at the Electric Vehicle Council Aman Gaur told Oly Peterson we’re on track to have a record 100 000 EV’s sold in Australia in a year.
