Gary is joined by Epidemiologist and Professor, Adrian Esterman, from the University of South Australia to discuss the bird flu. 

Esterman explains that while most strains are not harmful to humans, H5N1 is highly pathogenic.

Current strains in Australia include H9N2 and H7N3, posing minimal risk to humans, however he urges caution as the virus could mutate.
