Empty Bullsbrook facility built to sleep 500 sparks frustration

The Centre for National Resilience in Bullsbrook, a state-of-the-art facility built to sleep 500, has been sitting empty since 2023.

Paul Thompson, a boilermaker/welder who helped construct it, told Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that no expense was spared on the facility and that we should be utilising it.
“I just find it ridiculous that we are having to put taxpayers’ money into a converted hotel where as we have this facility ready to go as we speak, so why aren’t we doing it,” he said.
