Emergency services stretcher 118 kilogram man from Bluff Knoll

Emergency services have rescued a 118 kilogram man on Sunday night who was suffering severe leg cramps on Bluff Knoll.
He was 2.6 kilometres from the carpark, only 400 metres from the summit when he had to be stretchered down by a large crew.
It’s the second rescue performed at Bluff Knoll in two days.
Albany SES Local Manager Bob Boyes told 6PR Breakfast crews worked through the night to bring the man to safety.
“We got the call, probably just after 6pm and I know the team that went out got back at 4:40am,” he said.
“It’s a numbers game with stretcher carry outs, and in this case it was a matter of getting people from Denmark, Mt Barker and a few fierys from Albany, and carry this gentelmen who was about 118 kilograms down from the top pretty much.”
