Oliver Peterson
AFL

Anti-gambling campaigners have slammed a two match ban handed to an AFL player who placed multiple bets on games involving his own team.

Gold Coast Suns player Rhys Nicholls has been suspended by the AFL for two games and fined $5,000 for placing bets on 10 games involving the Suns.

Alliance for Gambling Reform chief advocate Tim Costello told Perth LIVE with Oliver Peterson the penalty is inadequate.
