An elite Perth girls’ school will now only post non-identifiable student images on social media to prevent photos from being misused for harmful AI deepfakes.

Principal of the St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls Fiona Johnston joined 6PR Breakfast to speak about the growing threat of artificially altered deepfake images.

“There’s certainly some obligations that I believe schools should be taking to ensure the safety of our students in our care,” Johnston said.
