Organisers of a march planned in response to the death of Kalgoorlie teenager Elijah Doughty are hope it is a peaceful event.

Michelle Rance has organised the Justice for Elijah march which will start in Forrest Place and head to Parliament House.

She says she hopes the event is not marred by any violence as it is intended to celebrate the life of Elijah.

She spoke with Adam Shand.
