Elders face a hard road as wealthier retirees urged to chip in to ailing care industry

The Federal Opposition is expressing concern about some parts of planned aged care reforms.

A panel of experts, advocates and industry leaders is recommending higher fees for wealthier residents, to make the sector more sustainable.

Aged and Community Care Providers Association Chief Executive Tom Symondson told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings  they understood there would be blowback, but financial savings such as super are designed to support crises such as these.
