The 84-year-old East Cannington man, Emiliano Lombardi, who was attacked at his own home on August 16 has passed away in hospital.

Mr Lombardi was placed in an induced coma after the “cowardly, disgusting and appalling act”, as described by WA Police.

Nine News reporter Kamin Gock had been in contact with Mr Lombardi’s family and was told he was making an improvement and had been taken out of ICU.
But has now sadly passed away.
