Woolworths stores around Australia opened an hour early for elderly people and people with disabilities, but when the doors opened many desperate shoppers couldn’t find what they needed.

While the supermarkets attempt to recover from mass panic buying, shoppers still struggled to find necessities, but some found the staff were willing to help.

6PR reporter Lindsay Brennan was at Woolworths in Victoria Park to witness the early morning crowds.
