West Coast captain Luke Shuey is comfortable spending his time across half back as the Eagles look to salvage something from the 2023 season.

The Norm Smith medalist, who has split his time between defense and on ball, told Wide World of Sports’ Adam Papalia that it’s time for him to step aside and let the next generation take control in the midfield.

“It’s exciting for our young boys that they can start to take hold of the midfield and drive the club to our next era of success” said Shuey.

“Giving them an opportunity like I was when I was 19 or 20 years old”.
