West Coast captain Luke Shuey says his return to footy isn’t far away he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury.

Despite being listed as 3-4 weeks away on the Eagles injury list, the midfielder says he’ll be back before the bye.

Shuey hasn’t played since injuring his ankle in the side’s Round 6 loss to Port Adelaide but told Wide World of Sports’ Adam Papalia he’s ahead of schedule.

“I’m actually feeling like I could play this week” Shuey said.
