Hawthorn have notched their first win of the season thumping the West Coast Eagles by 50 points. The Eagles now with five losses from their last six games at the MCG.

West Coast defender Tom Barrass spoke to 6PR Football after the game.

Adam Simpson says the result has nothing to do with the ground. Their recent struggles more to do with his players’ intent.

If there was one positive to come out of the game Brad Hardie praised the efforts of Jackson Nelson, naming him among the Eagles top five players.

 

Brownlow medallist Matt Priddis also passed a significant milestone during the game becoming the leading tackler in the game passing former St Kilda star Lenny Hayes’ record of 1496. Priddis achieved the milestone in 73 fewer games than Hayes.
